ASCC Senate Meetings
Senate meetings are chaired by the Student Body Vice President.
Meetings are held every Wednesday at 2 pm in BK 111.
How to run for a senate position
There are 30 seats available in Senate.
In order to qualify for one of these seats, a student must have:
- a minimum of a 2.25 GPA
- maintain a minimum of a 2.0 GPA while in office
- be currently enrolled in 5 or more units at Cerritos College
- current semester CCSA sticker (behind Student ID card)
- No failing grades ("F", "No Pass") in previous semester before applying
6 Easy Steps To Run For Senate!
Step 1: Apply online via OrgSync.
Step 2: After submitting an application, pick up your signature sheets from the Student Activities office.
Step 3: Collect at least 75 signatures from currently enrolled students.
Step 4: Turn signature sheets in to the Student Activities office by 12:00 pm on August 24.
Step 5: Must attend Senate campaigning orientation. Date and Time TBD.
Step 6: Campaign your heart out!
Student Government applications for Fall 2018 will be open August 13-24.
