All eligible continuing students have the opportunity to register early for classes by calling on a touch tone telephone. Students are encouraged to use this easy, fast, and convenient method to register. Falcon Phone registration is scheduled in advance of all other registration processes.
Who May Register Using Falcon Phone?
All continuing students (students who are currently enrolled or attended the previous semester) and new, readmit, and transfer students who have met matriculation requirements.
When/Where?
On your appointment date and time using a touchtone telephone. It is best not to use a cellular phone.
What Are The Requirements Before Registration?
Academic Advisement - Students who need advisement assistance are encouraged to see a counselor prior to Falcon Phone registration.
Disabled and EOPS students should first contact their counselor or specialist in their programs for registration assistance.
Clear holds - Registration holds must be cleared of all obligations prior to registration date.
How Do I Plan My Class Schedule?
Use the registration worksheet on the Falcon Phone Permit.
List classes in priority order; 18 units maximum per semester.
List alternative classes in case your class choices are not available.
Check for assessment information and prerequisites. Identify required labs and possible class time conflicts.
Sign the Falcon Phone Permit.
Check student data on permit. Make corrections in the Admissions Office.
Students can make program changes (class adds and drops) by Falcon Phone AFTER fees for their initial registration are entered as paid in the computer.
How Do I Register?
Use only touch tone phones! Touch tone phones make a tone sound when each button is pressed. If your phone has a pulse/tone option, make sure the switch is set on tone.
If you call prior to your appointment date and time, the system will not allow your registration. You may, however, call anytime after your appointment date and time during registration hours.
If Falcon Phone lines are busy, please try later.
Continuous ringing indicates busy lines.
The Falcon Phone system will lead you through the process with step-by-step instructions. Be patient and listen for all instructions. Do not get ahead of the instructions.
Call transfer feature from Falcon Phone to Admissions is available only during office hours: Monday thru Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Students may request to speak to a counselor after the call is transferred during office hours of Monday thru Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
How Do I Pay My Fees For Registration?
By Mail:
The system will tell you your total fees.
Complete the fee payment form and enclose in payment envelope.
Enclose your check, money order or indicate payment by credit card. (Please make EXACT amount payment.)
Enclose your signed Falcon Phone permit class program.
Mail payment to insure receipt within five working days after you have registered or your classes will be dropped! IF YOUR FEES ARE RETURNED, PLEASE BRING CORRECT FEES IN PERSON TO THE FEES STATION.
If you were dropped for non-payment of fees, you may re-enroll in available courses in Falcon Phone Registration while telephone registration is still in progress.
You will receive your registration print-out and receipt by return mail.
On Campus:
Pay your fees on campus in the Administration Building within five working days after the date of your Falcon Phone registration. Fee windows open: 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday; Fridays until 3:30 p.m. or drop the fee payment in the box provided in the Admissions Office by 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Bring your Falcon Phone Permit.
Fees must be paid with five working days or your classes will be dropped!
You will receive your registration print-out and receipt.
How Do I Make A Program Change Using Touch tone Registration?
Program changes (class adds and drops) subsequent to the initial registration may be made using Falcon Phone anytime AFTER registration fees are paid. No program changes will be allowed unless the initial registration fees are entered as PAID in the computer.
Additional fees incurred by program changes will be stated by the Falcon Phone system. Fee payments must be received by the Fees Office within FIVE working days after the program change is made.
