What to expect when using Cerritos College’s Writing Resources

Black and white photo of student studying in the writing center at Cerritos College. The aim of our writing resources is to strengthen the writing skills and confidence of students. Writing resource faculty and tutors are dedicated to cultivating growth in the writing skills of the students they work with.

As a student expect to be actively involved in the tutorial and to learn skills that will not simply improve the paper you are currently writing. Expect to develop skills that will stay with you from one writing opportunity to the next.

Tutors and faculty will not proofread papers, but they will guide students to develop skills that will address their particular writing needs.
