Cerritos College

The Academic Support Center provides FREE tutoring services
to students to enhance classroom instruction on a short-term
basis for most Cerritos College courses!

The ASC currently offers tutoring in the following areas:

Walk-in math tutoring
Walk-in writing assistance
Subject specific group tutoring

Walk-in math tutoring
If your are enrolled in any math course at Cerritos College, you may receive FREE math on a walk-in basis. Student tutors, and staff from Cerritos College's Mathematics department, are here to assist you one-on-one at any math proficiency level. To get started, simply enroll in our zero-unit ASC Open Lab for math tutoring (Ticket #23036) online at MyCerritos or in person at the ASC.

Walk-in writing assistance
If you have a writing assignment in any course at Cerritos College, you may receive FREE writing assistance on a walk-in basis.  Simply enroll in our zero-unit ASC Open Lab for writing assistance (Ticket #24493) online at MyCerritos or in person at the ASC.

Subject-specific/group tutoring
The Academic Support Center also provides FREE tutoring for courses other than Math and English! Our subject-specific tutoring groups are offered as-requested. Check out our list of subjects to find out if we have a tutor for a subject you need help with.  If we don't, just visit the ASC desk in LC166 to obtain a Request for Tutor Form.  Once the form is completed, signed by your instructor, and returned to the ASC, a tutor will be recruited and scheduled as our budget allows.

You will be contacted when a tutoring session is scheduled at the number and/or E-mail address you provide on the request form or if a tutor is readily available, our staff will show you the days, times and location the tutor meets with students.
