Grant Program Offers Technician Training on Cummins 8.9L Natural Gas Fueled
Heavy-Duty Engine using INSITE Diagnostic Software
ISLG1: ISL-G Electronic Fuel System (16-hours)
This course provides a comprehensive review of inputs, actuators & processing of the Cummins Electronic
Engine Management System, including manual testing of componenets to learn where they are located on
the engine and how they work.
Course Fee: Paid by grant program (a $400 value)
Eligibility: Mechanical ability, familiar w/ gaseous fuel systems.
INSITE: Cummins INSITE for CNG/LNG Systems (8 hours)
Train on the leading OEM diagnostic software for Cummins Electronic Engine Management Systems.
Covers special parameters for ISL-G, user tips, diagnostic procedures and screen-by-screen examples.
Course Fees: Paid by grant program (a $300 value)
Eligibility: Basic computer skills, familiar w/ gaseous fuel systems.
ISLG2: ISL-G Fuel System Diagnostics & Repair (16 hours)
Learn hands-on diagnostic procedures for fault detection & repair of inputs, actuators and processing of
the Electronic Engine Management System, using Cummins own INSITE software tool.
Course Fees: Paid by grant program (a $400 value)
Eligibility: Completion of ISLG1 and INSITE
Certificate: Certificate of Completion
CNG Cylinder Safety Inspection Training(16 hours)
Learn the regulations and proper required periodic inspection of cylinders used in Compressed Natural Gas
vehicle applications. In this two-day class, designed for all technicians and management, inspection stanards
and techniques are covered along with acceptable damage and corrective actions.
Course Fees: Paid by grant program ($550 value)
Certificate: CSA Certification exam available through CSA America for an additional fee upon completion of the class.
