DH 244  Ethics & Jurisprudence in Dental Hygiene    (2 units)

Class hours: 2 lecture

Prerequisite: DH 235C or equivalent with a grade of Credit or "C" or higher

Corequisite: DH 245C

This course investigates ethical issues, dilemmas, and the State Dental Practice Act that affect the standards of behavior for the dental hygienist.  Principles of general and biomedical ethics are applied to common examples of situations faced by dentists and hygienists in today's dental practice.
