Court Reporting Link on the Cerritos College Foundation Page

Alumni, we need updates on your phone numbers and emails and addresses if you want us to keep in contact with you.  Please get in touch and update your records.

We are asking for donations of stenotype machines.  We are taking our course to the high schools.  We all know there's a shortage of court reporters and court reporting students.  We are working on some cooperatives with high school students to give them the opportunity to get a head start.  We are also interested in purchasing machines.  Please contact the office or Vykki at vmorgan@cerritos.edu. 

We desperately need speakers to go to the local high schools.  The Boy Scouts of America has a foundation, Learning for Life, and they have requested court reporters to match up with classes.  They schedule appearances at your convenience in a classroom.  Won't you please consider helping us out?  They've requested 20 plus speakers.  What a good way to get the word out and contribute to your profession.  Poly, Lakewood, Cabrillo, Milliken -- all the local high schools would like to have someone come out and talk about and demonstrate court reporting.  Please contact Vykki if you would like to participate.  (562) 860-2451 ext. 2791 or vmorgan@cerritos.edu.  Thanks!

BTW, alumni is anyone who has attended our program.  We consider you all a success.  Some of you are reporters, some of you have gone into other court reporting related careers, and some of you have gone on to new endeavors taking the skills you learned here with you.  We consider all of you a part of the family.

Alumni, please keep us current on your address, phone numbers, e-mail, name changes, employment, honors and awards, and other miscellaneous information.  We plan to have alumni events, and we need your imput and support.   We're also here to support YOU!  We would also like to request that you send us pictures of you at work, receiving awards, copies of awards, articles, etc., so we can create a "Wall of Honor" in our department.  Can you help us out?
