| STEP 1: Admission |

We recommend having official high school transcripts sent directly to Cerritos College Admissions and Records or submit them to a counselor during an appointment or an Orientation Workshop.

| STEP 2: Assessment Testing |

Take the English, reading and math placement tests.The tests assess your math, language, and reading skill levels. Just bring your student number and a photo ID on the test day. If you intend to take English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, take the ESL test before registration. Call the Assessment Center for appointment scheduling information. Assessment test schedules and sample tests can be picked up at the Career Services Center or you can visit the Assessment Testing Center's webpage for an online test schedule. For helpful tips, please click here for a Student Guide. Parking is available in lot C-1. You may purchase a $2 daily permit from the yellow "Park-Ur-Self" meters.
| STEP 3: Orientation Workshop |

There are two ways to make an appointment, by phone or on the Internet.
New students are required to attend Orientation before registration. Please bring unofficial/official high school and/or college transcripts to the Orientation Workshop. When additional assistance is needed prior to enrollment, counselors are available on a walk-in basis in the Counseling Center.
If you cannot attend an orientation, you can visit the Online Orientation to complete the workshop.
If you are an international student, please visit the International Student Center website for counseling and orientation information. This workshop includes a presentation, campus tour, course selection, and academic advisement with a counselor.

Once you have completed the Orientation Workshop, you will receive a registration appointment. After receiving your registration appointment, you may enroll for your classes

After getting settled in your first semester, meet with a counselor every semester to ensure that you have an educational plan to meet your career goals. Counselors are available to assist you in your educational planning year-round. You are strongly recommended to make an appointment with a counselor early in the semester to ensure that your educational plan accurately reflects your educational goal. The appointments are 30 minutes in duration.
