Message from the Coordinator:
Welcome to the Fall 2008 semester. The Cerritos CalWORKs program offers services to assist you during your Educational journey. I hope that you had an opportunity to attend our Fall 2008 New Student Orientations. Our orientations provide you with an overview of the CalWORKs program, you get to meet the staff, as well as staff from other student support areas on campus. The feedback received from our students indicates that they enjoy the presentations as well as the school supplies.
I look forward to meeting with new students to the program as well as our continuing students which I have not met. I have an open door policy and I invite you to stop by to say hello. I would like to leave you with one helpful tip to make your time with us meaningful and productive:
“Balancing work, school and parenting responsibilities can be challenging. We encourage you make an appointment to meet with your CalWORKs Counselor every semester, of course if you find you need to come in more often we certainly support and welcome you to come in as needed. Your counselor can offer support, guidance and provide you with the resources available both on and off campus”

Attention CalWORKs Students please remember to update your information on Personal Portfolio Link. The CalWORKs office communicates with students using the information provided on MyCerritos.
Effective Fall 2008, CalWORKs students will qualify for early registration. Go to MyCerritos for appointment date (click on details for appointment time). If you have more than one appointment, please select the first available.
Effective October 31, 2008, the CalWORKs Office will be having a GAIN Service Worker on Campus: Friday's from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Her name is Socorro Diaz and she works at the Bell GAIN Office. We have attached a flyer of the services she can assist our students with. For more information contact the CalWORKs Office at (562) 860-2451, Ext. 2593. To make an appointment call Ext. 2356.
Effective November 2008, the CalWORKs Office will offer Walk-In appointment for continuing students ONLY. Walk-In appointments will be available on Thursday's from 9 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and also from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Contact the CalWORKs office for any questions, (562) 860-2451 Ext. 2356.
