The Cerritos College CalWORKs Work-Study (CWS) Program provides work opportunities on and off campus for CalWORKs students while they are pursuing their educational goals. The goal of the CalWORKs Work-Study program is to enhance a student's employability when they complete their college program of study. Work-Study is a time-limited program and provides an additional source of income within the requirements of the CalWORks program.
To be eligible for work-study through Cerritos College CalWORKs program, a student must:

Be receiving cash aid and provide eligibility documentation

Be enrolled in a minimum of 9 units

Maintain a 2.0 GPA

See a CalWORKs Counselor to review requirements and receive referral for the program

Attend a mandatory Orientation
To continue on the work-study program, students must:

Meet with a CalWORKs Counselor each semester in order to submit Current Calculation Form, Agency Certification form or Notice of Action (NOA) or Verification of Benefits to verify cash aid eligibility

Be enrolled in a minimum of 9 units

Maintain a 2.0 GPA

Attend mandatory Orientation and Pre-Employment Preparation workshops throughout the semester
- Meet with the CalWORKs Work-Study Assistant in order to discuss placement and submit work schedule
