Welcome to EDT 132 Using Audio in the Classroom
In this class you will learn how to use audio in your classroom to increase student creativity and improve student achievement. Using your computer and innovative software, you will design projects and student centered activities that incorporate the use of audio in the classroom. If you are a Windows user, you may download a 30-day trial license of Mixcraft from the Mixcraft website at: http://acoustica.com/mixcraft/. You will be completing assignments using Mixcraft which will be available for your use in the student access center. Should you wish to purchase Mixcraft, it is available for purchase at $39.00 for a single copy. Please read through module one for more information on purchasing. If you are a Mac user, GarageBand is a free application that comes pre-installed with your Mac. If you have further questions, please contact me via email. If you'd like to meet with me, I will be on campus this session on Monday evenings from 4:30 - 7:30 pm in the Academic Support Center. Otherwise, see you online!
Welcome to EDT 137 iMovie/MovieMaker in Education
The use of video in the classroom is an essential skill for all K-12 educators! You'll learn to use iMovie or MovieMaker to develop video projects you can use in your classroom for your students or lead your students in creating their own video projects. Both applications, iMovie and MovieMaker are "free applications" that come pre-installed on your computer. If you do not have these programs, they may be downloaded. Please read through Module One for more information on downloading the applications if you don't already have them! If you have further questions, please contact me via email. If you'd like to meet with me, I will be on campus this session on Monday evenings from 5:00 - 8:00 pm in the Academic Support Center. Otherwise, see you online!
