Cerritos College offers a 10-course online Retail Management Certificate program that you can complete within two years while working full or part-time.
It is designed to prepare students for career opportunities and upward mobility in the retail industry and is endorsed by the Western Association of Food Chains.

BA 106: Human Resource Management
This 12 week course is designed to acquaint the student with the principles and methods related to the effective utilization of personnel in the business organization. It will develop relations involved in recruitment, selection, placement, training, and supervision of employees. It will also include an introduction to the organized labor movement and current labor relations conditions.

BA 123: Fundamentals of Retailing
This 12 week course is designed to help the student develop an understanding of the problems, policies, and methods of merchandising as carried on in retail stores. Topics covered: careers in retailing, store layout, pricing goods, buying and receiving of merchandise and customer services

When should I apply for admission?
You have the option to submit your Cerritos College application prior to registering for the online Retail Management class. This will also allow you to
receive a student ID number before registering.

Who may enroll?
For the Retail Management Certificate program, your employer must be a member of the Western Association of Food Chain (WAFC)
When do I receive my certificate?
You will receive your certificate upon completing all ten (10) courses with passing grades. This program is intended to be completed in two (2) years.
