National Retail Management Certificate
Cerritos College offers an 8-course online National Retail Management Certificate program for residents and employers outside of California, that can completed within two years while working full or part-time.
The National Retail Management Certificate program is designed to prepare out-of-states students for career opportunities and upward mobility in the retail industry and is endorsed by the Western Association of Food Chains.

BA 118: Retail Management
This course is designed to help the student develop an understanding of the problems, policies, and methods of merchandising as carried on in retail stores. Topics covered: careers in retailing, store layout, pricing goods, buying and receiving of merchandise and customer services.

BA 114: Marketing
This course covers problems and organizations of systems of distributing goods and services in our business world. It will include promotion through retail and wholesale parallels, consumer buyer habits, pricing budgeting, transportation, warehousing, sources and uses of marketing information, and marketing of agricultural products.

When should I apply for admission?
You have the option to submit your Cerritos College application prior to registering for the online National Retail Management Certificate Program classes. This will also allow you to
receive a student ID number before registering.

Who may enroll?
To be eligible for the National Retail Management Certificate program, you must be a resident outside of California, and your employer must be a member of the Western Association of Food Chain (WAFC)
When do I receive my certificate?
You will receive your certificate upon completing the 8 courses with passing grades. This program is intended to be completed in two (2) years.
