State Funded Employee Training

Cerritos College provides ETP State Funded Workforce Training for Employers. The ETP training programs offset the costs to employers for on-site Training with State Funding, which includes practical hands-on training and lab-lecture instruction on-site at employer locations. Class work tasks are developed from specific employer work environments.

Who is Eligible?

Train supervisors, technical/engineering staff, and administrative and frontline production workers.

The employees must be:

  • Full-time employees working 35 hours or more per week
  • Earning the ETP minimum wage standard which varies by county and can include employer-paid health care benefits
Where is the Training and How is it Conducted?
CCED ETP training is delivered by a select group of highly qualified instructors with manufacturing industry experience. The training is customized to provide training that meets your business needs.

All training is provided in a classroom setting or at your worksite for groups of up to 20 students. Training schedules are flexible to accommodate your work schedule. Classroom training is completed by practical, hands-on training done on the job.
How Does My Company Qualify?
Companies that want to take advantage of this program must be:
  • California employers that pay into the Unemployment Insurance Fund
  • Manufacturers and companies that "face out-of-state competition"
