The application period for the fall semester has closed. You will be notified at the beginning of the spring semester as to your status. Applications for the spring semester will be available in January.
The Mentor Program is a wonderful opportunity to help out a new teacher in the field -- also a great way to supplement your income :) You must have completed a practicum class (which is CDEC 164 at Cerritos College), qualify for the Master Teacher Level on the Permit and have been teaching for at least two years. Please see Susan Gradin or Sharon Braun for an application.
Why should you become a member? Because it is a fabulous opportunity to network, be involved in advocacy work and find out everything there is to know about the field of early childhood education. When you join National, you automatically become a member of CAEYC and our local affiliate, Beach Cities (Affiliate #905).
How do you join? Just click on the link http://www.naeyc.org/membership and follow the steps. Make sure to put affiliate #905!! It is an annual membership at $50.00 for students.
We strongly encourage our students to continue on their pathway to success by earning a Bachelor's degree in Child Development. Here are some links to local schools who offer a Bachelor's degree in Child Development.
