>>> Have you brought your class to the library lately? Do you assign projects that require students to find accurate, authoritative information using books, journal articles, and the web?  Will your students be required to document their materials using MLA or APA format?  If so, the Cerritos College librarians can introduce your students to the wide variety of resources available through the Cerritos College Library and help them understand the research process and make sense of documentation styles.

If you haven't already done so, there's still time to schedule a one hour library session for your class. Librarians offer orientations and lectures on research techniques in all disciplines. Use the online request form or call the reference desk at ext. 2425 to schedule an orientation.

If you can't get to the library with your class, encourage students to attend a library research workshop. The ASC offers library research workshops as part of their college study skills series. These workshops are taught by a librarian and teach students about the many print and online resources available in the library. If you can't arrange for a one hour library orientation session for your entire class, encourage your students to attend one of the ASC library research workshops.
