Cerritos College Public Affairs Team Honored Seven Medallions at NCMPR Conference 

Cerritos Public Affairs Team wins gold for it's In Sight newsletter publication.The Cerritos College Public Affairs team was honored seven medallion awards during the annual district National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR) conference in Laughlin, NV, Sept. 27-29, 2006. Conference attendees represented community colleges from District 6, which includes California, Nevada, Arizona and Utah. Awards received were from submissions of design and public relations projects created during the past year.

Public Affairs Team wins gold for 50th Anniversary Memory Book.The Cerritos College Office of Public Affairs was honored with gold medallions for its submission in the Newsletter, Notes/Cards/Invitations and Wild Card categories for its In Sight Community Publication, 50th Anniversary Gala Invitation and 50th Anniversary Memory Book.

Silver medallions were received for the team’s work on the 50th Anniversary Gala Program in the Brochure/Flyer 3 category and the Cerritos College 2005 Football Media Guide for the Sports Brochure category.

Public Affairs Team wins gold for gala invitation.Bronze medallions recognized the team’s work on the Classified Employees Awards Program in the Brochure/Flyer 2 category, as well as the “Cerritos College Student’s Design to be Featured in the 2008 Beijing Olympics,” story in the Feature Article/General News Story category.

Classified Employees Awards ProgramNCMPR is the only organization of its kind that exclusively represents marketing and public relations professionals at community, technical and junior colleges. Considered one of the fastest growing affiliates of the American Association of Community Colleges, NCMPR currently has more than 1,550 members from more than 600 colleges across the United States, Canada and the Bahamas.
