Community Education Wins Motorcycle Education Awards
Cerritos College Community Education was awarded two awards of merit for the motorcycle program in the 2008-2009 year from the Motorcycle Safety Foundation.
The awards received were "Overall Student Improvement" and "Administrative Excellence" awards. These awards are given out only every two years, and five of each award are given among the 127 sites that hold motorcycle classes in the State.
“There is less than a 4% chance of being given an award - and we won two of them,” said Dr. Patricia Robins Smith, director of Community Education. “We are very proud of these accolades, as it shows what a top notch program we offer.”
The Cerritos College Community Education Department offers motorcycle training courses for both new and experienced riders. Thousands of students learn the necessary skills to ride a motorbike safely at Cerritos College throughout the years.
