  • Cerritos film students honored for their community service

    Chayanne Acosta and Paul Carrillo (l-r)Six students in the Cerritos College film class were honored with a certificate of appreciation on February 16 for producing public service announcements (PSAs) for the St. Francis Medical Center Trauma Department. The students in the Television Production class produced these PSAs as a class assignment in an outreach effort of providing services to our local communities.It all began with a phone call from Paul Carrillo...   • Cerritos College's New Facilities and Purchasing Complex grand opening March 2

    Cerritos College will hold grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for its new Facilities and Purchasing Complex, Friday, March 2. The new $7.4 million, 34,000 square-foot building was funded by the G.O. bond and consists of 45 rooms and offices. The building houses purchasing, warehouse, facilities, grounds and custodians...   • Theatre Department to presentThe Rimers of Eldritch

    The Cerritos College Theatre Department will present this classic piece of literature written by Lanford Wilson and directed by Janet Miller. The Rimers of Eldritch is a portrait of a decaying Bible Belt town, Eldritch, Missouri, that once was a prosperous coal mining community, now "population about 70."   • Music faculty to perform in gala

    Cerritos College Music Department faculty members will showcase their talents in a March 4 concert to raise scholarship funds for students in the applied music program. The concert will include performances by some of the most accomplished musicians in the greater Los Angeles area and will encompass a wide variety of musical genres.
