- Three Cerritos College Employees Honored with Innovation Excellence Awards
Faculty and staff at Cerritos College were selected for the prestigious 2016 John & Suanne Roueche Excellence Award by the League for Innovation in Community Colleges. The awardees include Dr. Bob Livingston, professor, business administration, Yvette Tafoya, EOPS assistant director, and Andrea Wittig, executive assistant to the president. - Faculty Honored for Distinguished Service
Nine faculty members were honored for their service and mentorship to students during the Distinguished Faculty Awards ceremony on April 27. Organized by the Faculty Senate and the Professional Relations Committee, the event was attended by faculty members, administrators, and members of the Board of Trustees. - Former Falcon Signs with Jets: 2017 NFL Undrafted Free Agents

- Celebrate National Foster Care Awareness Month
Cerritos College is celebrating National Foster Care Awareness Month with events during the month of May. The State of California serves approximately 63,000 foster youth. Cerritos College is home
to more than 150. The College also provides resources to help foster youth caregivers to develop effective parenting skills to help cultivate nurturing homes for foster children in the community. Check out the foster care awareness events throughout the month!
- Join the Vet Net Ally on May 5
The new Vet Net Ally Committee invites you to attend the first half-day Vet Net Awareness seminar with trainer Dr. Marshall Thomas, Director and Creator of the Vet Net Ally Program, Cal State Long Beach. The seminar focuses on the needs and concerns of military service members and student veterans. At the end of the seminar, participants are given a decal to display their allyship to campus veterans and active service members. May 5, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. RSVP to Monica Acuna
- Join the Food Drive Contest and Help Students Stay Healthy
The Student Health Center officially launched its Food Drive Contest to help replenish its Food Bank. The program was established in 2013 in response to students who needed a meal. The contest periods are April 24 - May 8. The winning team during both periods will receive a pizza party.
