Main Reception
Students who wish to receive Disabled Student Programs and Services support should call or visit the Main Reception desk in the lobby of the Santa Barbara building. All students new to the college will first need to complete their application to Cerritos College and obtain a student identification number. Students will also be required to complete the assessment tests in math, English, and reading. DSPS will provide students with the necessary paperwork to verify the disability and to apply for services. Following the completion of preliminary paperwork and the verification of a qualifying disability, students will be scheduled for appointments to complete the DSPS application and enrollment process, as well as for academic counseling.
Additional non-classroom related assistance for all qualified students provided through DSPS includes: registration, campus orientation, placement test assistance, elevator access, parking, matriculation and support with disability management issues.
