Welcome to the Earth Science and Geography Department

    The Earth Science Department faculty is thoroughly committed to promoting all aspects of student learning and success. Thus, the mission of the Earth Science Department is threefold. First, we provide a wide variety of rigorous introductory courses which satisfy the physical science breadth requirements (both with and without laboratories) for university transfer students. Second, we identify and encourage majors in both geology and geography. We provide courses which satisfy basic requirements for our majors, and also keep abreast of developments in the local universities where most of our students transfer. Third, within the geography curriculum we offer courses which satisfy social science transfer requirements.
