The members of the ESL department are committed to your success in college, work, and life. We dedicate ourselves to teaching and work hard to help you gain access to the many opportunities available in the United States.

All ESL instructors at Cerritos College must have:

      -  a Masters degree specializing in teaching English as a Second Language;

       - the ability to speak and write Standard American English; 

       - an understanding, sensitivity, and commitment to meeting the needs 

         of our students, and

       - experience in teaching ESL to college level students.
