Attached you will find three locations around Campus that will be impacted by the Infrastructure project during the next 4-6 weeks. The first pdf of each attachment (CAMPUS MAP) will show the general location on Campus, with estimated dates for construction and the second pdf attachment will show the DETAIL of the area and will provide information such as: fencing location, paths of travel, access and egress areas along with the estimated timeframe for this area’s work. The areas that are impacted by this work are: The South side of the Physical Science (PS); Science (S); Library/Learning Resource Center (LB, LC) buildings; and around the North and East side of the Woodworking Manufacturing Building (WD). Please modify your paths of travel, as needed, to avoid these areas during the construction process. Please note that most of this work (not all) will be during the winter holiday down time and our goal is to complete these areas prior to the beginning of the spring semester.
Good news, the Campus chilled waterline loop tie-in is complete and this past weekend, the Infrastructure Contractor (Minco) started cleaning the interior of the last phase of the newly installed chilled water lines, so that we can tie in the remaining buildings to the Central Plant. In order to meet the December 15th, 2008 Edison/Investor Owned Utility deadline, we will be tying in the Business Education (BE) and Physical Science (PS) buildings on Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 10th and 11th. The remaining buildings, Library/Learning Resource Center (LB, LC); Administration (AD); and the Social Science (SS) buildings will be tied in on December 12th, 13th and 14th respectfully. As you can see, this is a very aggressive schedule and the Infrastructure Contractor, Bovis Lend Lease, Inspectors of Record and Facilities Staff will be working hard and steady from December 10th – 15th to make sure that we hit our deadline with the least disruption to our instructional programs.
