I Have Completed My FAFSA, What Happens Next? Submitting the FAFSA is just the first step towards getting financial aid assistance. After submitting the FAFSA, students should receive a Student Aid Report and a Missing Information Letter from our financial aid office. Also, if a GPA verification form was submitted by March 2 (deadline for all students) or September 2nd (deadline for college students), then they will also receive forms from the California Student Aid Commission. This presentation is a follow-up for students and parents who have completed the FAFSA and have started receiving forms. Students will be provided information on what happens after they submit the FAFSA. Individual questions can also be answered. To complete the financial aid process, it is important that students review and promptly respond to any requests for additional information or documents needed. Delay in responding may cause a delay in receiving financial aid.
