To be eligible for the Academic Competitiveness Grant (ACG) recipients must meet the following requirements:

• Enrolled in in the first or second academic year of an AA degree or transfer program
• Enrolled full-time (12 or more units)
• U.S. Citizen
• Pell Grant Recipient

1st Year Awards - Award is $750 per year ($375 per semester)

• Have completed a rigorous secondary school program of study after January 1st, 2006
• Not previously enrolled in a "program" of undergraduate education

2nd Year Awards  - Award is $1,300 per year ($650 per semester)

• Have completed a rigorous secondary school program of study after January 1, 2005
• Have at least a 3.0 GPA

The amount of the student's ACG, in combination with the student's Federal Pell Grant, other resources, and estimated financial assistance may not exceed the student's financial need (cost of attendance minus the Expected Family Contribution [EFC] equals financial need).
