Foundation Scholarships -- Philosophy

Ed Bloomfield Scholarship (SPRING)

Established in honor of retired Philosophy Professor Dr. Ed Bloomfield.  This scholarship is awarded to a student enrolled in philosophy classes who exemplifies outstanding scholarly qualities in the study of philosophy. Paper applications are available in the Philosophy Department, Humanities/Social Sciences Divison Office, and the Foundation Office in the 3 months prior to the deadline. To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

• Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
• Must have completed at least 6 units of philosophy courses
• Must be transfer bound

 Annual Award $500; Faculty Selected
