Typing or Word Processing

Where Can I Type My Paper?

To type a paper, you must go to one of the two Computer Assisted Instruction Laboratory's (CAI Labs) located in the Learning Resource Center (LRC). The computers in the library do not have word processing or other productivity software installed. Also, there are no typewriters in the library.

If it is very busy and other students are waiting to use a computer, you may be asked to log off. Particularly  if you are playing video games or using social networking sites. Computers in the library are for research and or educational purposes. Please refer to the computer wallpaper or the signs positioned between computer workstations.

To login to a computer in the one of the CAI Labs:

  • You will need to login with your Student ID and password (birth date).See one of the hourly workers for assistance.
  • You must be enrolled in at least one unit at Cerritos College to be able to login to the computers in the CAI Labs. Remember: In order to use any of the computers in the CAI Labs, you must be enrolled in the session that you plan to use the labs.
  • The CAI Labs offer access to the Internet, E-mail and instructional software contributed by instructors from various departments.
  • The labs are located downstairs in LC-137 or upstairs in LC-203

What Work Can I Do On the Library Computer Workstations?
