The Cerritos College Public Affairs Office provides a variety of services to the campus community. Whether you are interested in having a brochure or invitation designed, need work done on the Web, or a release written about your upcoming event - we are here to help. Take advantage of the following services offered.
The Public Affairs Office must approve the design of all ads places in external media. In addition, the office has a number of volume discounts with newspapers, radio, and television stations that can be available for a substantially reduced rate.
Calendar of Events
The Public Affairs Office recently launched an online Calendar of Events for the college. The Calendar of Events is a resource for you to use to help promote your upcoming events. Simply fill out an online submission form. Before appearing "live" on the web, all event listings will be approved by the Public Affairs Office.
An internal publication, The Campus Connection Online provides the campus community with the latest in Cerritos College news on a weekly basis. To place an article in The Campus Connection Online regarding upcoming events, programs or a feature story, fill out an article request form.
Layout and design services are offered at no charge for most Cerritos College publications. Projects can vary from brochures, flyers, invitations, logo design, programs and other creative ideas. Please allow a minimum of two weeks to turn around a job. The turn around time will vary depending on the scope of the project and the number of projects that are in queue. Request to have a brief message (up to 16 words) displayed on the College's main marquee sign, located on the corner of Alondra & Studebaker. Please read the Marquee Regulations prior to submitting a Marquee Request form.
The Public Affairs Office writes, edits and sends out news releases regarding campus news. News outlets that cover Cerritos College include the Long Beach Press Telegram, Los Cerritos Community News, Whittier Daily News, the Los Angles Times and other local and daily newspapers. To request a news release, fill out the Media Relations form or contact Media Relations at extension 2287.
School Relations is the primary recruitment unit on campus that provides prospective students with access to Cerritos College through a host of outreach and recruitment programs and services. School Relations also assists campus departmen ts with recruitment by providing Cerritos College publications and support materials. You are invited to participate in recruitment events including off-campus college and career fairs, College Night, and Senior Preview Day. The web-based Content Management System makes maintaining your college web pages simple. All web authoring is done on campus or at home in Internet Explorer without the need for MS FrontPage. Training is available for web authors to learn the software along with their responsibilities and web standards. If you need help with your department Web pages, would like to be trained as a web author, need a new web site or need other user support, fill out a web support form online at or call extension 2798 for an appointment.
