Purchasing Department Major Functions
The Purchasing Department's Major Functions are comprised of the following:
Purchasing:
- District-wide responsibility for all procurement needs
Contracts:
- District-wide responsibility for all bids, contracts, and agreements
- Capital construction support in tandem with Physical Plant & Construction Services Department and Construction Management/Project Management Firm
Shipping/Receiving:
- Centralized receiving and distribution
Mail Services:
- Incoming and outgoing mail and courier services provided
Telecommunication Services:
- Incoming and outgoing communications via ShoreTel telecommunication system switchboard
Asset Management:
- Identify and account for all District assets > $1,000
