Purchasing Department Major Functions

The Purchasing Department's Major Functions are comprised of the following:

Purchasing:

  • District-wide responsibility for all procurement needs

Contracts:

  • District-wide responsibility for all bids, contracts, and agreements
  • Capital construction support in tandem with Physical Plant & Construction Services Department and Construction Management/Project Management Firm

Shipping/Receiving:

  • Centralized receiving and distribution

Mail Services:

  • Incoming and outgoing mail and courier services provided

Telecommunication Services:

  • Incoming and outgoing communications via ShoreTel telecommunication system switchboard

Asset Management:

  • Identify and account for all District assets > $1,000
