NORWALK, CA – September 8, 2004 – Cerritos College students who achieved a grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or more during the summer 2004 semester were honored today as the college released names of students on the dean’s list. More than 60 students from communities throughout Southern California are included in the list.
“Through the dean’s list, we recognize students who have maintained high grades throughout the session,” said Vice President of Academic Affairs/Provost John Grindel. “During summertime, especially, when courses are accelerated, we are proud to honor our distinguished students and to applaud them for working hard to achieve high grades.”
Students carrying 12 academic units or more during the summer 2004 semester were eligible to make the list. The list includes students from Bellflower, Cerritos, Downey, Lakewood, Long Beach and other southland cities.
For nearly 50 years, Cerritos College has served as a comprehensive community college for southeastern Los Angeles County communities including Artesia, Bellflower, Cerritos, Downey, Hawaiian Gardens, Lakewood, La Mirada and Norwalk. The college offers degrees and certificates in more than 180 areas
