Cerritos College Athletics Featured in New Discovery Channel Series Human Body: Pushing the Limits

NORWALK, Calif. – March 5, 2008 – Cerritos College athletic students and a coach are being featured in the first episode of the new Discovery Channel series Human Body: Pushing the Limits. The series combine computer graphics and amazing real-world stories to reveal how human bodies perform when pushed to the max.
Entitled “Strength,” the first episode features then-Cerritos College football player Ryan Pettys and then-Cerritos College men's soccer player Marco Pulido. This 60-minute presentation showcases extraordinary tales of human strength told with see-through “anatomy in motion.” The episode was mostly filmed here at Cerritos College in early 2007 highlighting interviews of Pettys, Pulido –both have since transferred to a four-year university– and head football coach Frank Mazzotta.
Premiered March 2, the series including three more episodes “Sight,” “Brainpower” and “Sensation” will be repeated throughout the month of March.
