NORWALK, Calif. - June 24, 2008 - Cerritos College administrator Nathan Durdella, Ph.D. was appointed to the editorial board of the Community College Review. His three-year term began in April 2008 and runs until April 2011.
The Community College Review is a quarterly publication which has led the nation for over 35 years in the publication of scholarly, peer-reviewed research and commentary on community colleges.
As a member of the editorial board, Durdella will review three to five manuscripts per year and attend board meetings at the annual convention of the American Association of Community Colleges. He will also advise the editor and staff of the Review on plans for soliciting manuscripts and revising the Review's editorial policies. The mission of the editorial board is to sustain the Review’s reputation as a highly respected venue for peer-reviewed articles on community college education, administration, and leadership.
“I am honored to have been invited to serve on the editorial board,” said Durdella. “The appointment presents me with a unique opportunity to be in the service of the larger higher education community.”
“Further, the appointment allows me to remain connected to colleagues, to learn about emerging issues and trends in community colleges, and to contribute in new ways to the scholarship on community colleges.”
