WHAT: Cerritos College's Court Reporting and Captioning Careers Program (formerly known as Business Court Reporting and Computerized Shorthand Program) will offer online speed building classes for the first time during fall semester. Introductory Theory class is already offered online or on campus. Traditional day, night and weekend classes continue to meet on campus, and classes are open to anyone wishing to pursue a career in court reporting or captioning.
Per-unit fees at Cerritos College are only $20. (Out of state non-resident tuition fees are $181 per unit and international student fees are $190 per unit. Refer to Cerritos College's Schedule of Classes for complete fee information.) Students will also need to provide their own steno machine (purchased or rented) and purchase books to accompany the courses.
Other new courses include “How to Succeed in Court Reporting School” and “Basic Broadcast Captioning.”
WHEN: Cerritos College's fall 2008 semester begins Monday, August 18, and runs through Friday, December 19.
