WHAT: The Cerritos College Theatre Department is delighted to present The Rivals - an English comedy of manners. Directed by Kevin Hoggard, this hilarious story centers around three outlandishly eligible bachelors and the beautiful, but completely clueless, heiress for whose hand they compete. This comedy is notable in theatre as well as literature for introducing a character, Mrs. Malaprop, most notable for her witlessly inappropriate use of words in an utterly hilarious manner. Audiences will delight in this character’s many blunderings through the English language.
