WHAT: Candace Gingrich, half-sister of former Speaker-of-the-House, Newt Gingrich, will pay a visit to Cerritos College to discuss one of California’s most controversial propositions, Proposition 8, at an event sponsored by the college’s Gay Straight Alliance (GSA).
Gingrich is a lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) activist who acts as senior manager of The Human Rights Campaign Youth & Campus Outreach Program. She authored her own autobiography, “Accidental Activist: A Personal and Political Memoir”, in 1996 as well.
