Cerritos College and Global Consortium to Present Forum on Global Warming Featuring Dr. Mary J. Thornbush

WHAT: Dr. John Haas, history professor at Cerritos College and founder and director of the Global Consortium will host a forum on global warming with guest Professor Mary J. Thornbush on Wednesday April 1 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. (PST). Entitled “Is the recent warming different from previous climatic forcing?” the forum will feature Dr. Thornbush who will videoconference with the Global Consortium from Lakehead University in Canada. This event will be broadcast live online at www.3cmediasolutions.org.

Dr. Thorbush is assistant professor at the Orillia Campus of Lakehead University. She was formerly a Senior Research Associate at the Oxford University Centre for the Environment, University of Oxford, UK. Her research interests are in geomorphology (fluvial, environmental, and applied geomorphology) and climatology (environmental history, climate and environmental change, and applied climatology). Dr. Thornbush teaches courses in environmental issues, geomorphology, and climatology at Lakehead's Orillia Campus.
