Approximately 100 carpentry students from four area high schools including Bellflower, Somerset, Lynwood and Mayfair toured the 24,000 sq. ft. facility and participated in the workshop.

The event offered four learning stations including cabinetmaking, furniture making, woodturning and Teacher TRAC - an option to become a woodworking instructor. Each station provided the students with information about the different career avenues.  Students had an opportunity to build a small project through the demonstration.

“This is a great opportunity for our students to see what career paths are out there and what woodworking program offers,” said one high school instructor.
