NORWALK, Calif. – Two people have been arrested for identity theft and financial aid fraud at Cerritos College. The arrests were made based on an identity theft complaint to the college that became a police investigation and led to the discovery of financial aid fraud.
Those arrested and charged are: Ronald Dennis Clark, Jr., 37, of Long Beach and Shanay Bobbie Beacham, 27, of Hawthorne. Both suspects are students at the college. They were arrested on March 13 by the Cerritos College Campus Police Department.
Clark was charged with criminal conspiracy, burglary, forgery, and grand theft and the dollar amount involved is $4,556. Beacham was charged with criminal conspiracy, burglary, forgery, false public seal, and grand theft and the dollar amount involved is $13,000.
The Cerritos College Campus Police Department is continuing its investigation.
