Cerritos College to Host Career Expo and Job Fair on March 23

WHAT: Cerritos College’s annual Career Expo and Job Fair will be held Tuesday, March 23, 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Library/Falcon Square sidewalk. The event, which attracts more than 500 attendees each year, is free and open to Cerritos College students and the general public. It is recommended that attendees dress in business attire and bring copies of resumes with them.
During the expo, attendees will have opportunity to speak to recruiters, learn about the companies, explore job opportunities, network with recruiters, and receive suggestions from employers on resumes and interviewing skills. Employers representing business, finance, technology, healthcare, retail and other industries will participate in the expo. Resume writing and job fair strategies workshops will be offered prior to the event. Current list of participating employers includes Caltrans, Home Depot, L.A. Restaurant Management, L.A. County Fire Department, LAFD, LAPD, Project Apple/Bellflower USD, Southern California Edison, Target, the University of Phoenix and more.
Resume Basics workshops will be offered on Wednesday, March 10, 5-6p.m. in the Assessment Center, and Thursday, March 11, 11 a.m.–12 noon in SS 138. Job Fair Tips and Dress for Success workshops will be offered on Tuesday, March 9, 11 a.m.-12 noon, and Monday, March 15, 1-2 p.m., both in LA 24. DSP&S (Disabled Students Programs & Services) will also offer a workshop in successful job fair tips on and Thursday, March 18, 11 a.m.-12 noon in LA 24 and a resume writing workshop on Monday, March 8, 11 a.m.–12 noon in SS 138. Non-DSP&S students are welcomed to attend.

COST: Free to attendees. Parking for the event is free in lot C-10 in white stalls ONLY.
For employers, early registration is $75 per company or organization and includes continental breakfast and two lunch tickets. Additional lunch tickets are $10 each. Registration after March 2 is $100. No registration is accepted after March 9.
