Cerritos College Engineering Design classes offered in summer 2011

NORWALK, Calif. - June 16, 2011 -- Cerritos College's Engineering Design Technology Department is offering one class for summer 2011 session beginning July 5.
ENGT 131 - Fundamentals of Design Including AutoCAD is a six-week class beginning on July 5 and ends on August 12. It meets from Monday through Thursday from 5:30 to 10:00 p.m.
This course is the gateway for all intermediate and advanced courses being offered in future semesters in Engineering Design Technology education and includes a comprehensive introduction to mechanical design methods and about half of the courst time is spent using AutoCAD software. This course does not require a prerequisite and can count toward general education courses needed for an associate's degree and transferrable to four-year universities in the region.
Enrollment is now underway for summer session classes which begin July 5. Any interested person is urged to apply immediately while space still exists. Students can register online at www.cerritos.edu.
