Return to the Forbidden PlanetWHAT: The Cerritos College Theatre Department is opening its 2011-2012 Return to the Forbidden Planet, a jukebox musical written and originally directed by Bob Carlton based on Shakespeare's The Tempest and the 1950s science fiction film Forbidden Planet.

Fasten your seat belts, return your tray tables to the upright position and prepare to blast off for rock and roll! Come aboard the starship Albatross on a routine scientific survey flight. But wait! We are hit by an asteroid storm, the science officer disappears, and our ship is being drawn into the planet D'Illyria by an evil force. Will the passengers and crew survive? If survival depends on comedy and great rock and roll the answer is a resounding YES!
