Cerritos College Film Program Now Offers Apple Certification for Final Cut Pro Editing Program

Students in the motion picture classNORWALK, Calif. - June 30, 2014 - Cerritos College announced today that its Film and Television program became an Apple Authorized Training Center for Education.

Associate Professor of Theatre and Film Steven Hirohama, an Apple Certified Trainer, will be teaching the new Apple curriculum in conjunction with another editing textbook. Students who enroll in Hirohama's motion picture editing class (FILM 107) will have the option of taking the Apple Final Cut Pro certification exam for a fee.

"The certification would give students the distinction of being an Apple Certified Pro for Final Cut Pro," said Hirohama. "Having this 'pro' certification could make a difference for students to distinguish themselves from others and in building credibility with clients and employers."
