Student Government

First time college studentsBe a leader! The purpose of the Student Activities program and the Associated Students of Cerritos College (ASCC) is to enhance the overall educational experience of students through participation in social, cultural, intellectual, recreational, health, and governance programs. Patterned after the federal and state constitution, student government is made up of the legislative branch (senate), the executive branch (cabinet), and the judicial branch (court). Clubs and Organizations

Students showing their floatMake new friends! Cerritos College offers a variety of clubs and organizations to enhance campus life. This range includes social, service, cultural, curricular, and special interest clubs. There are approximately 60 clubs on campus that include the Psi Beta (Psychology), UMOJA (first-generation student and African American empowerment), and Triathlon Club. Sports

waterpolo athleteBe active! The college is a member of the South Coast Conference. During the 2016-2017 academic year, three Cerritos College teams won state championship: women's soccer, women’s track & field, and men’s wrestling. Cerritos College men's teams are represented in: baseball, basketball, cross country, football (SCFA), soccer, swimming, tennis, track and field, water polo, and wrestling (SCWA). Cerritos women's teams are represented in: basketball, cross country, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, track and field, volleyball, and water polo. Dining

Chefs at culinary artsHungry? There are many options to choose from on campus. From burgers at Burdogs and pizza from Frantone's, to teriyaki bowls from One Bowl and burritos from Taco Bell. If you prefer gourmet cuisine, then you can visit the Culinary Arts Cafe and experience delicious dishes prepared by students for students, staff, and faculty at a very affordable price.

 

Recreation

Stop by the game room, which offers a number of video games and pool tables for students as a way to take a break from the rigors of academic life. The Library houses a lounge area where you can read 250+ magazine and newspaper subscriptions. Wi-Fi access is also available throughout the campus.

At Cerritos College, Campus Police is here to assist you and provide a variety of services including an escort to your vehicle at night and battery jumps. Safe Zone

Safe Zone Ally in Cerritos CollegeWe value diversity! The Safe Zone Network is a group of community college members who are committed to addressing issues of importance and safety to the LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning/Queer) community through education and advocacy. The Safe Zone Program's overall objective is for Safe Zone allies to utilize their gained knowledge and skills to foster a supportive and safe atomosphere for LGBTQ students, faculty, and staff.
