Gloria Morales

Background:

Gloria Morales, who has an extensive background in academic advisement, is an excellent resource for Teacher TRAC students. Gloria devotes her time to assisting Teacher TRAC students as well as coordinating the online counseling program and participating in campus-wide counseling. Prior to coming to Cerritos College, Gloria was a counselor in the Ka Lama Prep Program, where she assisted students transition from Leeward Community College to the University of Hawaii at Manoa. If you are a Teacher TRAC student, Please seek her assistance; she is an invaluable resource! 

 

Chris Sugiyama

Education:

Background: Chris has more that 30 years of experience in academic counseling and is a dedicated counselor, contributing not only to the Teacher TRAC program, but also to campus-wide and on-line counseling. She is a Coro Foundation and Educational Policy Fellowship Program fellow and has been honored by the Vice President of Student Services with a STAR award. Chris Sugiyama is an excellent resource for Teacher TRAC students; please seek her assistance; she is an invaluable resource!

Rocio Casillas

Education:

Background: : Rocio has been counseling at the Community College level since 2000. She worked at Santa Monica College, Fullerton College and Santa Ana College before getting hired at Cerritos College in 2003. She serves as the Project HOPE, SEM and Health Occupations Counselor. In addition, she works with the President’s Middle College Scholars Program and teaches Counseling courses. As a first generation college student and a former community college student her goal is to help students navigate the higher education system so that they too may reach their goals and dreams.

 

Brittany Lundeen

Background: Brittany has been counseling in the community college for the last 16 years. After getting her Master’s degree, she began working part time at Santa Ana College, Cerritos College, Golden West College and Long Beach City College. Brittany became a full time counselor at Cerritos College in 2004. She is currently one of the lead counselors for the Science, Engineering and Math division. Brittany also works with students majoring in the Humanities and Social Science divisions and is the Co-Director for the Transfer Center at Cerritos College. Brittany is dedicated to seeing Cerritos College students succeed in reaching their educational goals and truly believes the Transfer Center motto that students can “Start Here, Go Anywhere”

Francesca Bello

Education:

Background: Francesca is a Cerritos College graduate and has 15 years of experience working at Cerritos College in departments such as Counseling, Admissions and Records, CalWORKs and Student Support Services. She was hired 3 years ago as a Full-time Counselor, working with CTE students and those who are majoring in Business and Technology. Francesca is dedicated to assisting students in achieving their educational goals and is looking forward to meeting with you.

 

Rigoberto Castro

Education:

Background: Rigo has been counseling at the Community College level since 2008. After completing his education, he worked as a part-time counselor at Santa Ana College and Rio Hondo College. In 2013 he started working at Cerritos College as an adjunct counselor and was hired full-time in 2014. He is the Lead Technology Majors Counselor and the Co-Counselor for the Teacher TRAC – Careers in Technical Education Program (CTE). Along with these duties Rigo teaches Counseling 200 in the First Year Experience Program and Counseling 101A, an extended Orientation to class.
