Janet Miller has been a director, choreographer and educator for thirty years. Her choreography can be seen Off-Broadway at the Westside Theatre in The Marvelous Wonderettes. She is the Resident Director for Phantom Projects, Resident Director/Choreographer for Brain Brew Inc., an interactive entertainment company based in LA, and the Artistic Director for MB Players in Manhattan Beach. Janet has worked on both coasts on such shows as Side By Side By Sondheim, South Pacific, Kiss Me Kate, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Fantasticks, Annie Get Your Gun, Dames At Sea, Nunsense, The Man Who Came To Dinner, The Complete Works of Shakespeare (abridged), The Odd Couple, Taming of the Shrew, Of Mice and Men, To Kill a Mockingbird and The Crucible to name a few. Her talents have taken her all over the world, working in diverse settings such as Choate Rosemary Hall in CT and a theme park in Bangkok, Thailand! She has also taught musical theater dance and tap for Broadway Asia in China. Ms. Miller is the recipient of the 2003 Excellence in Art Award for Drama from the city of Torrance. Janet was awarded a 2003 Choreography Garland for The Marvelous Wonderettes and is also the recipient of the 2006 Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Choreography for TMW. In 2008, she was awarded a Garland and a LADCC award for choreography for Winter Wonderettes. JM holds a B.A. in musical theater from CSUN, and an M.A. in theater from CSULA., where she taught Acting Fundamentals: Games & Exercises. She is currently adjunct faculty at Cerritos College, where she has taught Introduction to Theatre, Introduction to Musical Theatre Technique, and directed and choreographed the Spring musical in 2008, Urinetown, the musical!
