Transfer Services

Individual Appointments: Students can make individual appointments to speak with a counselor regarding any questions or concerns they may have regarding the transfer process. Please call counseling at (562) 860-2451 Ext. 2231 to schedule an appointment.

Transfer Preparation Workshops: Students will receive assistance in developing an individualized transfer portfolio. Information regarding the transition process to a four-year university, learning styles, social needs, career searches and campus life will be discussed throughout the workshops. The workshops are held throughout the semesters. Contact the Transfer Center for upcoming workshops.

Appointments with University Representatives: Students can make individual appointments to see university representatives of their choice. This is a good opportunity for students to talk with a representative one-on-one concerning their classes, major, financial aid, admissions, etc.

Articulation Agreements: Not sure what courses transfer? Contact the Transfer Center and ask the staff about articulation agreements.

General Education Sheets: Various college and university general education sheets that show general courses to be taken at Cerritos College before transferring to the college or university are available for students in the Transfer Center and One-Stop area next to Teacher TRAC.

University and Major Specific Workshops: Workshops on completing admission applications, major requirements and preparing for transfer to the university system are offered throughout the year.

College and University Mini-Fairs:

This mini-fair involves about 30 representatives from various California colleges and universities. Two mini-fairs are conducted during the Spring semesters and one during the Summer and Fall semesters. The mini-fairs are held in front of the Library-sidewalk from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Our mega fair involves about 70+ representatives from California and out-of-state schools, including public and independent institutions. Similar to the mini-fairs, the representatives are on hand to give our information about their colleges.

Apply to UC''s & CSU''s: Students may pick up applications for the UC''s & Cal States in the Transfer center during regular business hours, or apply online:

University Tours: These tours are free to all students. Transportation is provided for students who would like to get a closer look at Universities. Information on financial aid and admission requirements are given. Local tours are normally a day long event. There is a $5.00 refundable deposit fee. Contact the Transfer Center and ask for more details.
