WMT 171 Introduction Wooden Boat Building      3.0 Units
Class hours: 2 lecture/4 lab
Prerequisite: WMT 101 or equivalent with a grade of Credit or “C” or higher.
Corequisite: None.
Recommendation: WMT 103 or equivalent with a grade of Credit or “C” or higher.

This course is an introduction to the methods and materials used in the construction of modern and traditional wooden boats. Classroom topics include the history, design, engineering, and safe use of woodworking techniques and materials involved in wooden boat construction. This course may be taken a maximum of 2 times
