WMT 235 Windsor Chair      3.0 Units
Class hours: 2 lecture/3 lab
Prerequisite: WMT 201 or equivalent with a grade of Credit or “C” of higher
Corequisite: None
Recommendation: WMT 118 or equivalent with a grade of Credit or “C” or higher

This course will introduce the student to the materials, methods, and tools used to make and manufacture a reproduction of an eighteenth-century Windsor chair. Topics include layout, turning, bending, and shaping the various chair components, final assembly, and finishing of the chair. Emphasis is placed on the safe use of tools and materials used in the chair construction. This course may be taken a maximum of 2 times.
