WMT 258 Mantels and Wall Systems       4.0 Units
Class hours: 2.5 lecture/5.5 lab
Prerequisite: WMT 102, WMT 103, or WMT 155 or equivalent with grades of Credit or “C” or higher.
Corequisite: None.
Recommendation: None.

This course introduces the student to the methods, materials, tools, and machinery used in the design, and manufacturing and installation of mantels and wall systems. Topics will include the history, design, milling, and assembly and installation of mantels and wall paneling. A major emphasis will be focused on the safe use of woodworking machinery and materials involved in architectural millwork. This course may be taken a maximum of 2 times.
