WMT 268B Production Cabinetmaking & Manufacturing      5.0 Units
(Residential)
Class hours: 4 lecture/4 lab
Prerequisite: WMT 151 or WMT 153 or equivalent with a grade of Credit or “C” or higher, or appropriate work experience.
Corequisite: WMT 250 or WMT 252.
Recommendation: WMT 154, WMT 155, WMT 181.

This course specializes in the fabrication and installation of residential cabinetry and millwork. Topics include panel selection, wood choice, product adaptability and residential construction applications. Students will also receive instruction in production techniques, materials science, cost estimating, time management and scheduling. This course enables students to work as a team in the design, manufacturing, and installation of cabinets and fixtures for on-campus use. This course may be taken a maximum of 2 times.
